These are some photos I took early one morning at Shary Municipal Golf Course in Mission. I’ve noticed ducks like these at this one particular pond almost every day so I thought I’d try getting some pictures of them. Since they are used to golfers being around I was able to get closer to them than I probably would’ve otherwise. However, they are still wild birds so it didn’t take them long to start swimming and then flying away from me as I approached them.
These photos, along with the Great Egret photos I took at a different pond on this same golf course and posted on here a few weeks ago, prove that it is possible to take good wildlife photos almost anywhere. All you have to do is keep an eye out for fairly accessible locations that attract wildlife in search of food and/or water and start taking pictures.
