Stringer From Aransas Pass Kayak Trip

Austin Townsend and myself hit the water on 3/14 with guide Filip “Fishman” Spencer in Aransas Pass. It would be the first kayak fishing trip for the both of us. The weather was tough. It was cold and wet. Most thought we were crazy not to re-schedule, but luckily we are optimists and fishing maniacs. A good combo in this case. We set out paddling against the wind but managed to make it to our first spot. Austin caught the first fish right away which really fired me up. We caught over 20 fish and reached our limit despite the challenging conditions. Special thanks to the Fishman for putting us on the fish.

It really was a great trip. The kind you remember more than an easy day on the water. Thanks Fishman for putting us on the fish, and teaching us a few things about fishing as well.

George, the trip looked relly awesome and because it was less than perfect conditions just adds to the trip. I bet this is a trip you will never forget and talk about often.

George and Austin, looked like you guys had a great time. We need to try this in South Bay South Padre Island in good weather.
