Here is an old lodge video that I had to share. I was quail hunting in South Texas with little luck. The fog came out heavy on the day we were to head home. Just about the time we had loaded our truck the sun came out and everything started moving. Of course on the main road out we saw this nice covey and I shot this video. Wouldn’t you know they would show up on the day the gun is packed in the truck. Sorry about the shaky hand and that is me whistling. They just kept coming. Thanks to the owner’s of the El Maso Ranch. Hey George, We don’t know how many covey there are this year because we have way too many roadrunners and tall grass. This makes it very hard for the quail population. We do have three different hatches of turkey and Friday we saw a really pretty yearling who didn’t even act afraid. So, as always the ranch is an interesting place full of God’s creatures. Take care……….Mom and Dad
