I had no idea that I would get to know a group of ducks as well as these on a recent trip to the family place in McCook, Texas. After watching them hit every feeder near camp I realized these “damn” whistling ducks were on the El Maso Ranch Welfare Line. They would hit the ground just after sun up waiting for the feeder to go off and would continue to make the rounds all day.  I managed to shoot a video so you can see the “damn” whistling ducks in action. My son Luke even exclaimed to my wife that “we had a great time and I (Luke) chased those “damn whisting ducks” all over the ranch.” My wife, while staring at me said, “what did you call them Luke?” He said, “damn whistling ducks”, and I said nada.  So the whistling ducks are now forever going to be called those “damn whistling ducks” and I will be watching what I say much closer. Enjoy the video of the …….well you know what they are. If you listen closely to the video I think they may be laughing instead of whistling.
